Laura Allen, an American Actress, took birth at Portland, Oregon, U.S. She has two sisters, namely older Jennifer (Jenny) and younger Lindsay. Laura is the middle child and she grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She enrolled in Wellesley College as a Sociology Major. She received her graduation in 1996. Before she made the debut of her acting career, Laura Allen worked with the NYPD as a domestic violence counselor.

Her role as Laura Kirk-English DuPres on the soap opera ‘All My Children’ helped Laura Allen to become a popular figure among the fans. It was the role which she taken over from Lauren E. Roman. She left the series in 2002. Laura next joined Julia Robert’s Mona Lisa Smile as Susan Delacorte along with Kirsten Dunst and Julia Stiles. Laura next made appearance in USA Network series ‘The 4400′ as Lily Tyler. She continued with the third season till the third season and in the fourth season, she was written out of cast. In 2006, Laura Allen made a guest appearance on House MD show. In the second season of Criminal Minds, she made a guest appearance. Laura next appeared as a guest star on the 2007 season premiere of ‘Law & Order: SUV’.

In the first season of Fx drama series ‘Dirt’, Lauren Allen portrayed the character of Julia Mallory. She portrayed a Hollywood heroin aficionado who was seen dealing with the paparazzi troubles. Very recently, she was seen on ABC critically acclaimed series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as a former love interest of Major Owen Hunt.

Laura Allen got married to Bruce Weyman on September 23, 2006. The wedding ceremony took place at the Relais Palazzo del Capitano in Pienza. On September 3, 2008, she gave birth to her first child Harper Edward Weyman, a son. Among her projects, waiting to be released soon, are Hysteria, From Within, The Collective and Old Dogs.
